WHERE DO I STAND?

I’ve been interested in graphic design for 7 years now and the question always comes up; “am I happy with my current skill level?” The answer is always “no” which prompts me to try to improve in one way or another. I often look to other artists for inspiration and because who doesn’t love browsing through art on the web? This unfortunately depresses me as I inevitably see other artists my age who are miles above me.


A good friend of mine told me that while I can’t make what a particular artist can the same is also true for for the opposite; that artist can’t make what I’ve made. I realize that I need to stop worrying about other peoples journeys and focus on my own. The same artists I idolize have problems just like me. They also feel that they can be better. If you enjoy what you do then do it and you’ll get your satisfaction.

With all that said here is my latest piece celebrating seven years of graphic designing.
