This is started to get depressing. Everyday I scour job search websites and send my resume/cover letter out to at least 7 different places everyday (sent out to 13 places two days ago) and I never hear back. I’ve had 3 interviews so far that, despite going very well, didn’t produce any results. I need a sign!!!

I’ve been interested in graphic design for 7 years now and the question always comes up; “am I happy with my current skill level?” The answer is always “no” which prompts me to try to improve in one way or another. I often look to other artists for inspiration and because who doesn’t love browsing through art on the web? This unfortunately depresses me as I inevitably see other artists my age who are miles above me.

Yet another piece I’ve had on the back burner for a while that I brought to completion.
Ok so I’m coding this website for this freelance’ish job of mine. Due to my lack of knowledge I am using separate images for the rounded tops and bottoms of pretty much every box shape in the site. So I have separet divs simply for a rounded top/bottom of the sidebar for example. As you can see I have a ton of random divs and it caused a bit of a problem for my sidebar. The top rounded box of the sidebar lined up with the actual “content” box of the post area INSTEAD of the post areas rounded top box. You follow me? So this has been giving me trouble for about a week now and I sorta moved on as I figured I’d just ask the guy who I’m working with for help. (more…)
I scanned in a drawing of a girl a while back and finally got around to working with it. Sort of Jet Grind Radio inspired. Her name is Cz. The creation of this was a bit more on the random side I must admit. Ah well I like how it looks.
New piece has finally found its way to completion. I’m really happy with how this piece turned out. I had this concept to make this a while ago but I lost track of where it was going. I recently started up again on it and finished it. Tell me what you think!
